VERG Brooklyn Referral Policy
All non-emergency patients must be referred to VERG by their veterinarian.
Each service at our hospital directly responds to the referral of a case, and patients will only be treated for their notated referral condition; no routine procedures will be performed. Upon discharge, the patient will be referred back to their primary veterinarian for continued care.
Emergencies: Although no appointment or referral is necessary, we encourage pet owners to call the hospital in advance to alert the staff of your impending arrival. VERG Brooklyn is open 24/7, 365 days a year.
Written reports will be sent to the primary veterinarian when a patient is seen on an emergency basis. Follow-up reports are sent during the course of extended treatment. Written reports are emailed to the veterinarian at the completion of treatment.
