Dong-Woo Jin, DVM, DACVS-SA

Dr. Jin grew up in Port Washington, NY and attended Stony Brook University for the undergraduate studies. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry with magna cum laude. Dr. Jin was heavily involved in scientific research at Brookhaven National Laboratory and studied the effects of isoflurane on neocortical metabolites. He volunteered to serve at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County Farm and Education Center for the community. Dr. Jin attended Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine for a veterinary degree. He completed small animal medicine and surgical internship, surgical specialty internship, and surgical residency at Affiliated Veterinary Specialists in Orlando, FL. His professional interests include orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, especially minimally invasive procedures such as arthroscopy and laparoscopy. Dr. Jin’s personal interests include sports, technology, and traveling. He lives with Star, a true Floridian mixed breed dog who supported him throughout his internships and residency.
