Dr. Khiry Ward earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2025 after completing his clinical year at Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University. He then completed a small animal rotating internship at the Schwarzman Animal Medical Center in Manhattan before joining VERG for the surgery specialty internship. Prior to veterinary school, Khiry worked for approximately 10 years as a veterinary technician in general practice.
Khiry’s professional interests include surgical oncology, emergency medicine, and exotic and wildlife animal medicine. Outside of the hospital, Khiry enjoys playing basketball, traveling, exploring new restaurants, and spending time outdoors. He is a certified scuba diver and has a dog named Nimbus, who enjoys joining him on hikes and walks, visiting dog parks, and swimming. A fun fact about Khiry is that he is one of 11 siblings.
