Neurology

Raised on Long Island, New York, Dr. Julie Egnor earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from New York University. During college, she helped found NYU’s Pre-Vet Club and even spent a summer volunteering in South Africa, assisting in the medical management of Africa’s most prolific wild animals.

She then attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine on the beautiful island of St. Kitts and spent her clinical year at Auburn University.

Dr. Egnor completed her rotating internship at a specialty hospital on Long Island, followed by a specialty internship in neurology at Canada West Veterinary Specialists in Vancouver, British Columbia. She spent an additional year in Canada West’s neurology department as a neurology urgent care doctor prior to completing her neurology residency in Seattle, Washington. Dr. Egnor then worked in Southern California for several years before making her way back to her favorite city in the world.

Dr. Egnor’s professional interests include the management of seizure cases, immune-mediated brain disease, and all things neurosurgery.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Egnor is an avid reader and traveler. She loves spending time with her friends and family as well as spending time outdoors and going to concerts. She is looking forward to being back on the East Coast!
