Jennifer Mercado

DVM, DACVECC

Dr. Jennifer Mercado was born and raised in Jersey City, NJ, and earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology from Rutgers University. She went on to complete her veterinary degree at Midwestern University. After graduation, she pursued a small animal medicine and surgery rotating internship at Oradell Animal Hospital, where she continued on to complete a three-year residency in Emergency and Critical Care. Her clinical interests include trauma, sepsis, and toxicities.

At home, Jennifer shares her life with two beloved cats, Pusheen and Mochi. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring new restaurants, and going to the movies. She also stays active through hiking, working out, and fitness classes such as hot yoga.
